As one of Colorado’s longest standing fundraisers, Claws for a Cause is a celebrated, time-honored tradition for several hundred local families, and offers an enjoyable, easy and affordable way to give back while celebrating life at the same time.  Festivities range from intimate dinners to large parties held on private estates.  Over the years, Angel Eyes has sold more than 100,000 live lobsters, raising nearly a million dollars in net revenue.

In addition to the popular live lobsters Angel Eyes also offers frozen lobster tails, filet mignon steaks and 1/3 lb burgers.  Donors pre-order their choices and pick up their feasts at a variety of sites across Colorado on one of two celebration dates, May 19 and June 16, 2012.

The Lobster: Live, New England, decadently delicious 1.25 lb lobsters are delivered direct from James Hook & Co of Boston. $20 each

The Tail: Tantalizing, tender 5-6 oz lobster tails arrive in their shell and frozen.  They are the perfect accompaniment to your filet, or on its own for the more demure diner.  $15 each

The Steak: Tender, juicy and flavorful, 8 oz, USDA Choice melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon.  Filets are frozen, individually-wrapped and vacuum-sealed. $14 each

The Burgers: One dozen, 1/3 lb burgers of lean (85/15) Certified Angus Beef.  Burgers are vacuum-sealed, frozen and for your convenience, wrapped three burgers to a pouch.  $18/dozen

Purpose

The Angel Walk represents the ‘heart and soul’ of Angel Eyes — giving comfort and providing hope to anyone who has been impacted by the sudden, unexpected death of an infant or toddler. Families, friends and the Colorado community come together to participate in a tree dedication, name reading and one-mile memorial walk at Clement Park in Littleton. The names of the children are read during the tree dedication ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, everyone gathers to walk around the lake at Clement Park. Participants come together after the walk for a BBQ, silent auction, kids activities (face painting, balloon twisting and a water balloon fight) and live music.
